Mr. Max Liang |
|
| |
| Educated in China and Canada, Max holds an M.A. degree from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
Max speaks English, Chinese and proficient French, and has accumulated more than 20 years of work experience in the West and within China.
For the past four years Max has been Partner, President and General Manager of the China Trustful NetTech Co., Ltd., a software joint-venture company with the Chinese Academy of Science's Institute of Computing Technology. Max has also devoted his energy, enthusiasm and organization skills into various activities of social and public welfare, especially those involved with overseas returnees.
Between 1998 and 2000, Max was the Owner and President of the Chi-Soft Sharp Multi-Media Technology (China) Co., Ltd.
As the President and General Manager, Max worked for the Center Measure and Draw Equipment (China) Co., Ltd between 1996 and 1998.
And between 1995 and 1996, Max was the Vice-President and General Manager of the Zhongjia Measure and Draw Equipment (China) Co., a JV with the National Bureau of Measure and Draw.
As the Chief Representative of the Group of Chinada Motors, Canada, Max managed its successful Import-Export businesses in Qingdao between 1994-1995.

Mr. Gervais
LaVoie |
|
| |
| Educated
at the University of Paris in
France (Post-doctoral studies
in Regional Development); the
University of Montreal in Canada
(Ph.D. & Master in Cultural
Anthropology); and Beijing University,
China (Modern History).
Gervais speaks
French, English and Chinese,
and he has accumulated over
20 years of working experience
in China.
For the past
ten years Gervais has worked
as Partner, CEO and General
Manager of Beijing Seanoble
Food Co. Ltd. Seeded with
a total investment of USD
1 million, the company started
as a JV (with A. Lassonde
Inc., Canada) in June 1993.
By year-end 2002, the company
was a sole foreign invested
company, with more than 500
employees in 30 offices across
China and annual revenues
of USD 12 million. The firm
generated net profits of USD
million dollars between 1995
– 2002, and its brand - Rougemont
(Rumeng) - was among the fifth
best known brands in China.
In 1999 the Chinese operation
represented 40% of the net
profit of A. Lassonde Inc.
Between 1990 and 1992, Gervais
was the Owner and Manager
of Rich Epoch Trading Co.,
Ltd., a Hong Kong trading
company specialized in electronics,
primarily mobile telephones
and computer parts. The company
focused on sourcing suppliers
for computer manufacturers
and supplying mobile telephones
from the U.S. for sale in
the Hong Kong market. The
company was sold in June 1992
Between 1989
and 1990, Gervais acted as
the Province of Quebec's Government
Economic Counselor in Hong
Kong. In this capacity, Gervais
was in charge of promoting
business relationships between
Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland
and the Province of Quebec,
Canada.
Between 1985
and 1988, Gervais managed
Hualou Consulting Inc. located
in Montreal, Canada, a consulting
company specializing on Chinese
affairs. He was hired as project
manager by a number of governmental
and private institutions including:
CIDA, AUCC, Minister of Intergovernmental
Affairs in Quebec, HYDRO-Quebec,
Lavalin International, SEREQ,
Bombardier Inc., etc.
As the director
of the Center at Montreal
for Exchange with China (CAMEC)
between 1984-1985, Gervais
managed the China-Canada programs
sponsored by CIDA, in the
province of Quebec, Canada.
From 1979
to 1984 Gervais was a professor
of Anthropology and Ethno-psychology
at the University of Montreal
in Canada.
Between
1981 aand 1983, Gervais acted
as the Liaison Officer and
Office Manager for Agrodev
Canada Inc., a firm that was
awarded the first World Bank
Contract in Agricultural Development
“The North-East Dry Agricultural
Development Program”.

Mr. John Swaner |
|
| |
| Educated in
the USA, John holds a B.A. degree
from the University of Notre
Dame and an M.A. degree from
Cornell University.
John speaks English, Spanish
and Chinese Mandarin, and
has accumulated over 25 years
of experience in China.
John first visited China
in the mid-1970's and was
in the first group of Americans
hired as “Foreign Experts”
in 1978. He taught at the
University of International
Business and Economy in Beijing
for three years. His students
work in various businesses
and government departments
around China and abroad.
From 1981 to 1991 John worked
in the Beijing office of Combustion
Engineering, the American
Boiler Company, and opened
an office for them in Shanghai.
He facilitated the establishment
of joint ventures in Shanghai.
Since 1991, John has operated
his own multi-national trading
company based in Seattle and
Beijing, shipping Mexican,
American and Italian commodities
to China. |

Mr. David
Xiong |
|

| David holds
an MBA from Harvard Business
School; a Bachelor's degree
in Economics from the UIBE in
China; and as a Bachelor's degree
in International Business from
Northeastern University in the
USA .
David gained Product Marketing
and Sales Management experience
in AT&T, becoming Director
of Business Development &
Strategies in 1993. From there
he went on to become General
Manager of the Eastern China
Region. From July 2002, David
Xiong joined Irdeto Access
and has been CEO of Irdeto
Access China.
Previously, David was Managing
Director of the East China
region for Dell Computers.
Prior to that position, David
was General Manager of Comsat
TTS, having been Group VP
& General Manager of Greater
China for Glenayre Electronics

Mr. Hope Hua
|
|
| |
| Hope graduated
from HUST with a bachelor's
degree on computer science and
obtained an MBA degree from
City University, in Bellevue,
WA, USA.
Hope is a career development,
organization HR planning and
personnel management expert.
He has an excellent command
of the laws and policies in
the field of HR in China and
understands how to balance
cross-cultural HR management
issues. He has extensive experience
on resolving internal conflict,
complicated reorganizations
and urgent recruitment for
clients.
With seven years of work
experience in the Executive
Search industry, Hope is a
senior career development
advisor and a successful Executive
Search consultant. He co-founded
and acted as Vice President
of Onpress International,
the second JV HR firm in China.
Prior to this role, Hope was
a government official in Beijing
Personnel Administration,
and HR department manager
of CIIC, a well-known HR service
provider authorized by the
government to serve foreign
enterprises. In 2003, he joined
Dianji Tech, the famous software
company founded by Mr. Wang
Zhidong, the founder and former
CEO of SINA.COM, in which
he was appointed as Assistant
GM (VP level) responsible
for re-organization, government
relationship and account sales.
Hope and his team have received
the mandate to fill a number
of middle/high-level positions
by many multinational companies,
including HP, AT&T, GE,
AOL, ABB, Convergys, Ford,
Cummins, Aventis, Lucent,
OFS, Siemens, EAC, APC, BEA,
etc. He maintains close connections
with an extensive network
of HR professionals, including
relevant government officials,
media staff and HR professionals. |

Mr. Montgomery
Simus |

Educated at Yale University (Bachelor of Arts - History) and Harvard (Master in Public Policy – International Development), Monty's professional career has taught him the necessity of leveraging cross-border experiences to accelerate the development and globalization of companies. Monty has more than a decade of experience with several of the world's leading technology, enterprise software, Internet services, telecommunications, financial services, and energy corporations.
Monty has lived, worked, and traveled in more than thirty countries spanning Africa, China, western Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast & Central Asia, undertaking projects in a variety of consulting and line functions. He has experience in building and obtaining finance for technology/ telecommunications start-ups and, on several occasions, has been involved in the development of technology-related services that were later adapted and introduced to global markets.
Monty was personally involved in the introduction and management of several of these business lines in Europe and Asia, holding accountability for P&L management and responsibility for hiring local talent. |

| Cynthia Zhou, Partner & Senior Consultant of HAX International. She has possessed 14 years working experience totally for foreign companies after completing her university studies majoring in International Trade, including 6 years experience working as Senior Consultant in the executive search field. As a Senior Consultant, she is known for her strict adherence to the highest professional standards. She has good track record achieved in the placement of professionals and executives for multinational and reputable local companies, such as Siemens, Seagate, Deloitte, NCR, Gilbarco, Powerise, Wan Nian Group, etc.
Before this, she had three years of sales experience in Pepsi Cola, and four years of administrative management experience in Commerzbank AG.
Cynthia holds a MBA degree from a joint educational venture between Beijing Polytechnic University and the University of East London.
